If you are new to home education, you may well feel a little overwhelmed about the provisions for your young learner and how to best assist them towards achieving their qualifications. Please don’t panic, know that you are not alone. You will likely soon find out that the Home Education community is amazing – especially in terms of generosity when it comes to sharing knowledge and information. Technology Triumphs is no exception to this and is only too happy to offer general advice, guidance and perhaps just a little reassurance, when it comes to guiding your learner towards qualifications – if that is indeed a route you want to pursue.
Company Founder, Pip, also Home Educates her 2 children and feels passionately about supporting the community that she is very much a part of, in whatever way she can. Please feel free to reach out if you would like a general and informal chat about what your options are and the different ways in which you can help your learner to fulfil their potential as well as the different routes you can explore towards gaining qualifications.

If you are not new to Home Education, then you are probably already well aware that there are unfortunately a lot of limitations and restrictions for non school attending children when it comes to achieving formal qualifications in creative and practical subjects. This is exactly why Technology Triumphs was established in 2018.

We believe that all young people should be afforded the same opportunities in life, and our company ethos is to;

“Make creative qualifications accessible to all”

The very valid choice to home educate should not result in learners being denied the opportunity to gain qualifications in subjects that they feel passionately about.
Unfortunately, many young people can be denied access to their preferred provisions, generally due to the inability or unwillingness of providers to provide flexibility that would ensure inclusivity. But that’s where we come in.

At Technology Triumphs we provide Ofqual-approved qualifications to young people who might not otherwise be able to access these through more conventional educational channels. Courses that have been independently approved under the awarding body NCFE and that allow learners to learn at home, in their own way, at their own pace without the pressure of deadlines.
Our current provisions now offer a 7 year creative learning journey from Entry Level to Level 3 Certificate.
Learners complete their courses at home, from anywhere in the world, with the online support of a dedicated team who really are rallying to ensure that your young person achieves their qualification. The course is entirely portfolio assessed which removes the cost, inconvenience and worry of sitting an exam.

Whilst our Level 2 courses are not GCSE’s, they are GCSE level qualifications, and since 2018 we have had an increasing number of learners report back to us that colleges have been accepting these qualifications in place of GCSE’s to gain access to creative and practical courses, such as Catering and Computer Design. This is not just because of the level and title of the qualification, but also because of the strength of portfolio that learners are able to build due to the quality of our course provisions. Our 2022 survey cited 88% of learners had been able to use their Level 2 qualification to gain access to college with the other 12% not yet being of an age to apply.

When you enrol onto a Technology Triumphs distance learning course, you will receive the following:

Engaging content given electronically in the form of workbooks
Access to a designated Course Assessor who provides you personalised, motivating and encouraging written feedback
Pre-Filmed tutorials to allow for flexible working
Membership to dedicated Facebook Community groups
Online support from a Qualified Teacher
Termly awards with prizes and certificates

Whilst we are a small team, we are absolutely dedicated and pride ourselves on being able to give as personal and affordable a service as is possible.

We recognise that achieving qualifications can prove costly. Especially if you have more than one child to make provisions for. This, alongside the current financial climate has resulted in us looking at other ways that we can help families and young people along their learning journey. As a result Technology Triumphs regularly funds courses and provisions throughout the year that we give away to our community. You do not need to be enrolled onto a ‘paid for’ course to access these provisions and there really are no strings attached.

Please see 'Our Courses' for details on all of our Free provisions.
