We have just been notified that the Entry Level in Creative Craft Entry 1 and 2 are being withdrawn from NCFE’s qualifications with last claims for certificates due to be the summer of 2027.
What does this mean?
There are different reasons a qualification can be withdrawn, it may be because government funding that NCFE receives has been withdrawn, it could be due to low intake or just because of operational needs.
The certificates are still valid and are still worth 2 credits each – however this does effect the time that we have to register and claim the certificates for these 2 qualifications.
How will this effect my learner?
Effectively, where we were able to say we don’t set any deadlines to complete the work, we are now working towards a final deadline due to this change from NCFE.
Please note, this only effects Entry 1 and 2 – there is currently no deadline for Entry 3.
Because of this, we are asking all learners to focus on completing Entry 1 and 2 by the 13th June 2027.
This means completing Workbooks 1, 2, 4 and 5.
Workbooks 3 and 6 cover Entry 3 and so can be completed after this date.
This effectively gives 15 months to complete two thirds of the course. The course was designed to be completed in a single year so we are really hopeful that this will be achievable for most learners without any additional pressure.

What do we need from you?
Due to the withdrawal of this qualification, NCFE have also stipulated learners must be registered on their systems by Summer 2026.
For this reason, we require you to complete the Induction process for the course, if you haven’t already done so, by 1st April 2026.
Failing to do so may mean that we aren’t able to claim your learner’s certificates. To complete the Induction, you will need a form of ID for your learner (this doesn’t need to be photographic).
